The side that never ends.
The records that changed how we hear. The true stories that make them land. And a listening room full of people who get it.
- A free guide to the 10 albums that start it all
- One true story a week, in your inbox
- A listening room where nobody is a beginner for long
From the community behind the Spiritual Jazz page on Facebook.
The algorithm keeps playing you the same twenty albums.
You fall for A Love Supreme, and the feed answers with the same handful of records everyone already knows. One shelf over sits a whole universe: the records where jazz reached for something higher. Their stories are scattered across old books, dead forums, and liner notes nobody bothered to scan. Without a home, this music fades into background noise, and the people who made it stay forgotten.
That is why Spiritual Jazz Universe exists.
We were tired of the same playlists too. So we built the home we wished existed: short documentary films about the artists, stories we check before we tell them, and a listening room where you can ask anything. Think of us as the friend with the big record shelf who cannot wait to play you the next one.

Asked and answered.
What is spiritual jazz?
Jazz that reaches past entertainment toward something devotional. It grew out of the 1960s with John Coltrane's A Love Supreme, and kept going through Alice Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, Sun Ra, and a deep catalog that mixes jazz with African and Indian instruments, chants, and long meditative pieces. If you have ever wanted jazz that aims at the sacred, this is it.
I am new to jazz. Can I start here?
Yes. That is exactly who the free guide is for. Ten albums, plain language, and the one track to press play on for each. You do not need to know anything going in.
Is the guide really free?
Yes. The guide is free and the weekly story is free. One email a week, and you can leave any time with one tap.
What do you send me?
The free guide right away, then one true story a week about a record worth your time. That is it. We will never sell your email.
